March 12 – Philippians 3:8a, 10a NIV
Philippians 3:8a, 10a NIV
What is more, I consider everything a loss compared to the surpassing greatness of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord….I want to know Christ…
I want Paul’s passion to know Jesus, to be willing to let everything else go in order to know Him. It will cost. We can’t love both God and the things of the world. Jesus told us that. No man can serve two masters. Not “it would be hard,” but “can’t.” Every day, maybe all day we choose. Am I serving God? Am I serving worldliness, worldly principles? I want to know Jesus!

I love the new routine that Three by Fives has put into my life. After I get up and get moving, after I get breakfast made, I sit down at the computer and read what you’ve written for the day, and then I just sit and think about it for a bit. Ahhhh. It’s like…like…a half-cup of yogurt…the really good kind, from Trader Joe’s. Just a bit of something yummy in a good-for-you sort of way.
Like putting your rudder-for-the-day in the water, with God’s hand on the tiller.
Can I just say that this 3×5 thing is the most precious example of Titus 2:3-5 put into practice that I’ve seen in a long time! I feel privileged to read your thoughts and soak in your wisdom ! You have an obvious love of Christ that shines through your words, as well as an evident love for your family! Thank you for sharing!
Thank you so much, Niki. I can’t think of anything you could have said that would have encouraged me more. I hope you get to see this reply. I was gone this weekend and just got home. Welcome to our family blog. I hope we get to hear from you again.
You are welcome! Can’t wait to read more! In fact, I’m sitting here with my coffee getting ready to read today’s 3×5!
