April 24 – John 20:31

John 20:31 NIV
Jesus said to her, “Mary.”

How many times have I read this, and, still, today,
I sobbed. Her love, her life, was gone. Dead.
Everyone else had gone home, but she just
wanted to be near His body. She was weeping.
And then a man she thought was the gardener
spoke to her, she replied to him, and then He–
back from the dead– said, “Mary.”

Hear Him call your name, Annie. He is risen indeed!

  1. Annie says:

I know… I can never hear or read this without just melting down again. Such SUCH power in Him speaking your name. It says that he knows you…. no, he KNOWS YOU. Every detail, every flaw, every longing. And in that knowing, he calls…. totalling breaking us into tiny pieces. How we all long to be known and loved.
