Proverbs 8: 14-16
Counsel and sound judgment are mine; I have understanding and power. By me kings reign and rulers make laws that are just; by me princes govern, and all nobles who rule on earth.

Using these verses and James 1:5-8, we can pray for our leaders. Pray that they would ask for wisdom from the Lord, believing they will receive it. Wisdom that includes God’s understanding, that includes sound judgment. And, Father, I pray that their hearts would WANT your wisdom.
