July 27 – Psalm 17:6

I get to come down and see my newest grandson today! Such potential in a little one like that. What will he be like? What kinds of things will he be interested in? I’ve heard that you won’t know what kind of parent you were until you see how your grandkids are raised. Not completely right, but I think there is some truth in it. Oh!—-I just wrote myself into a corner that I can’t get out of without sounding like I’m bragging! But I’m not. God has, in His grace and mercy (and those aren’t just pious words), worked in each of you kids, and you’re all better, wiser parents than we were. One of the things I continually thank God for is how ALL of my grandkids are being raised.

Psalm 17:6
Children’s children are the crown of old men, and the glory of children is their fathers.
