September 30 – Psalm 133

Psalm 133
How good and how pleasant it is when brothers live together in unity! It is like precious oil poured on the head, running down on the beard, running down on Aaron’s beard, down upon the collar of his robes. It is as if the dew of Hermon were falling on Mount Zion. For there the Lord bestows His blessing, even life forevermore.

One of the things that makes me the happiest in the whole world is seeing you kids loving each other — it fills me up and overflows me! I think that God must feel the same way. He says it consecrates it, makes it holy — like the priestly oil does. It’s a blessing, like dew. Mount Hermon is a huge 9000-foot mountain with three big peaks, and Mount Zion is one of the hills that Jerusalem sits on. So he’s saying it’s like all of the dew (blessing) of all of Mount Hermon is falling on little Mount Zion. And where is the “there”? In the unity.
