October 17 – Jeremiah 29:11

These 3×5’s from now on are from last year. I began writing them on October 17th, 2010, but didn’t start posting on the blog till February. Annie’s life was different then. She and her husband were living about 20 minutes from us in a rental house, she was teaching in a school not far from her, and she was pregnant. Now they are happily settled in their own lovely home on 5 acres just a couple minutes from her husband’s family, just 30 minutes from her sister Debbie, and still only a couple hours from us. She teaches part-time in Early Head-Start — part time, because she wants to be home as much as possible with that wonderful son (whose smile can pretty much swell his Nana’s heart)! Some of the cards will reflect the changes as they happened. As I’ve read through a few of them, I know it’s going to be hard not to do some editing and adding to and explaining, but I’m typing them up just like I wrote them to Annie a year ago. Blessings on you all.

Jeremiah 29:11
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future. Then you will call upon Me and come and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. You will seek Me and find Me when you seek Me with all your heart. I will be found by you,” declares the Lord.

Annie, whenever I thought of making these cards, this is the verse I thought of. And I couldn’t pray anything better for you than for you to have a hope and a future in the Lord.
