Catch-Up List
A quick catch-up list:
1. We had our first snow of the season Tuesday evening.
Here’s my husband, out doing chores at sunrise on Wednesday:
2. My older daughter finally got her cats. (Remember this old post, where I said she has been fixated on cats for a while?) I have an amazing story to tell you about her new kittens, but… I haven’t taken pictures of them yet!
3. My in-laws sold their house in Colorado. If all continues to go well, they plan to close on their new house in Kansas on November 18.
4. I’ve been hanging out (online) at The Pennington Point. Lisa is talented in many ways, and I’ve picked up a lot of tips from her. It doesn’t hurt that she has a fantastic sense of humor.
I bought this pillow from her Etsy shop:
(The photo is from the Etsy shop. I requested mine with brown embroidery, and it’s beautiful!)
I’m also thankful for Caroline and Emily, fellow bloggers who gave me a swift kick to get me back to blogging! 🙂 It seems like my life is very full of people right now. But writing is an outlet for me… so much that even my husband worries if I give it up for a while.
5. My younger daughter turned three. Now she has a bike, like the older kids.
(She dressed herself that day. If one dress is good, two are even better! She doesn’t always stop at two.)
6. I love my new church. I love, love, love getting to know the women in my Bible study and learning their stories.
7. I’m attending a “fence posts” party this evening. You know, to celebrate 11:11 on 11/11/11.
Only my mom would throw a fence posts party.
Only my dad would consider calculating what that would be in binary code.
And only their true friends would keep coming back for more.
8. We have six new cows. I haven’t taken pictures of them, either.
9. We planted twenty-plus fruit trees. I did get pictures of that!.
10. I temporarily gave up the cooking project. In order to blog about it, I’ll need to come up with my own recipes, to avoid violating copyrights. There’s something still in the works, though… just give it a little time!
Much love to you all.
Yea! You’re back!
Yay!!! So glad to hear what’s new and so happy that you are doing so well and enjoying life in your new home!
Blessings!
you’ve been busy girl! love all the homesteading you guys have been doing!
Always good to hear about life, Debbie! See you all soon!
yay! welcome back!
Love the fence posts party- at my house we always say “it’s 11:11, make a wish”!
